Product Reviews
Izziwotnot's Bailey Sleigh cot bed isn't the most affordable but it's stylish and well-made. It is easy to assemble however it does require two people. It is beautiful in any nursery. The panel was a huge success with our panelists, who were enthralled by the dark wood sides and dowel edges. It's durable enough for your child to use up until they become toddlers. It also meets British safety standards. The depth isn't so great that your child could get out the panel, and the distance between slats must not be more than 65mm. This should stop their heads from becoming trapped. You will also need to buy a mattress that costs an additional PS88.
The cot stands out because of its shape-shifting sleigh design. It's also very easy to put your baby in and out of this cot, which is a huge benefit. It's a bit more expensive than other cots however our panel believed it was worth it due to the design and durability.
This cot bed is available in either country pine or walnut finishes. It can be used from the moment of birth. It comes with three mattress heights, so you can start your child by putting the base up so that they can easily access it throughout the day and at night, then lower it as they increase in height. It comes with teething rails that safeguard your child's furniture and gums. When your child is out of the cot bed, it is able to be easily transformed into a junior bed, and then an ottoman.
The westport design by Silver Cross is another cot that feels substantial and is designed to last. It can be used from birth as a cot, and later as toddler bed, and finally as a junior bed. (Toddler guard rail is available separately). It was a little challenging for our panel to turn the cot into a bed but their other halves said it was easy and took less than 5 minutes. It's also a bit more expensive than other cots, but it's the kind of style you'd likely like to keep and use for your children as they grow.
